This wall, the most complet fortification in Spain, are in central village of our country, in a small town called Ávila (115 km to capital, Madrid) It was built between 11 th and 14 th centuries. The enclosed area is an irregular rectangle of 31 hectares with a perimeter of some 2500 meters including 88 towers. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.
